Mobile App & Site
The Kindertales app and mobile site allow teachers to access their full suite of tools for managing their classroom.
The app is available on the Apple App Store, Google Play Store and the Amazon App store. You can also login via your tablet’s web browser on any device to access Kindertales.
*The teacher app and site experience is designed around tablet sized screens but can also be accessed via phone sized devices if necessary.
Dashboard
The Dashboard page for teachers gives them a quick overview of which children are checked-in, registered to be absent, scheduled as an extra drop-off, have scheduled medications or outstanding special reports that require attention. Teacher’s also have access to their messaging inbox on the dashboard.
Attendance
In a child care environment there is more to attendance than just seeing if a child is in.
Track and change the location of individual children or move them in groups to other areas of your location. Staff and parents can see exactly where children are located at any given time.
Checking Children In & Out
Check children in and out using tablets in the classroom. Parents and supervisors get instant notification of the event on their desktop and mobile devices.
Teacher Check-In & Tracking
Teachers can now check in and out of the system when they start and end work via Kindertales Check-In or Kindertales for Teachers. As teachers move around in the center their location is tracked and displayed on the supervisor’s dashboard next to their room. Now supervisors can quickly see if they are getting close to going out of ratio.
- Teachers can set their location as they move around the center.
- Teachers can login and view children's info before their shift without being checked in.
- View check in/out history and modify entries in case of mistaken actions.
Before & After School
Check children in and out using tablets in the classroom. Parents and supervisors get instant notification of the event on their desktop and mobile devices.
Group Attendance & Sorting
Check-in or move children around your location in groups. The attendance page tracks where children are coming and going from so you can easily manage where children are at all times.
Visual Concerns
Any visual concern noticed when a child is dropped off can be noted in this section. Take a photo, add a description and supervisors are automatically notified of the event.
Daily Activity
With daily activity reports you can quickly and easily create reports for children under your care across a variety of activities.
Parents receive notifications as each report is completed to share in their child's day.
My Day with Photo
Create fun updates for parents about their child’s day that can include a photo.
Group Reports
Save time by tagging multiple children and filling out group reports instead of one at a time.
Report History
View the current day’s report history for any child to track their activity.
Profiles & Reports
Every child has a detailed profile accessible on the tablet with key medical, parental and contact information.
No more searching for the incident reports when you only have accident or illness reports left. No running to the photocopier either. All 3 reports are on your tablet.
Accident, Illness & Injury Reports
Accident, illness and injury reports are available that accept the required supervisor and parental signatures directly on the tablet.
Medication Wizard
Parents complete an online wizard that will instruct teachers on what medication their child requires and exactly how to administer it. Teachers can review this from their tablet anytime they want.
Milestones
Billy hopped on one foot? Awesome! Take a picture and add it to his milestones. No more cramming to finish children's reports twice or more a year.
Easy Browsing
Browse and award Milestones to an individual child or group of children.
Tracking
Track each child’s Milestone progress by category with color coded progress bars.
Photos, Notes and Attempts
Each Milestone can have a photograph and teacher’s note attached to it. Milestone attempts can be recorded to track a child’s progress toward completing them.
Messaging
Goodbye sticky notes and reminders stuck to cubbies. Review notifications from supervisors right on their tablets.
Stay Up to Date
Receive notifications from the location supervisor in an email in-box like format. Mark messages as unread to review later and access your in-box from the Dashboard screen.
Logs & Lists
Rid yourself of all the excess paper and binders. Your checklists, log books and maintenance tracking have now gone digital!
Checklists
Build checklists that get assigned to all locations or just specific rooms at specific locations. All checklists can be scheduled on a one time or recurring basis. Supervisors can review results from their tablet or desktop.
Maintenance
Create requests that contain photos and text for items that need to be repaired or replaced. Your maintenance staff will receive the requests when they sign in to a tablet.
